Imperial Roman Blue Glass Necklace and Matching Earrings (1st–2nd Century CE)

Description

a very pretty necklace featuring alternating teardrop pendant beads of dark blue glass and lighter blue ovoid beads, two ribbed gold beads feature at the front, together with a matching pair of drop earrings with later 18K gold ear wires and gold beads.

Dimensions:  Necklace length: 18 inches (45.5 cm) Earring drop:  1.5 inches (3.8 cm)

Condition:  All the glass beads are intact and in excellent condition, both necklace and earrings have been restrung for wearing.

Provenance:  Private English collection, acquired between 1970 – 2012
